Have you ever been the recipient of an indifferent experience with a company? Not fun, is it?

Well, I was treated to exactly the opposite experience recently by my 'computer gurus' -- well, that's how my wife refers to the people who keep my computers running and me from having a heart attack when they go bad!

A Day Away, A Day of Play

Every now and then I do what I ask others to do . . . GET AWAY and PLAY!

Yesterday, I took my own advice. I spent the day with a marvelous group of creative, congenial and very constructive people at a workshop graciously hosted by Seth Godin at his office just north of New York City.

The Road To Hell . . .

Seth Godin has a posting on his blog that expresses the tedium that comes from attempting to benchmark various aspects of our lives. In theory, benchmarking is a means to an end of constant improvement; in reality it often becomes more problematic than helpful.

I've long held the belief that, "The road to Hell is paved . . . with comparisons". Substitute the word benchmarks for comparisons and the statement's just as valid.

Way to go, Seth! Good one. Thank you.
